Steaming Up The Kitchen…
The last few 6 weekends have been pretty much eaten up by home renovations, work, and one too short trip to see some awesome friends in Nashville. The mornings when we wake up and immediately start to work on the never ending almost done fireplace, breakfast is usually toast and if we’re lucky, some quick eggs. Can I just say that as excited as I am to see the finished project, I am soooo over dust, drills, screws, drywall, mortar, tile, tile cutters, wet saws, more dust, mortar under my nails, dust (again), and the endless supply of tools we’ve now seemed to amass over the last 4 months.
If there is one thing Baby Baukovic (officially called Jameson) has been making me consistently crave, it’s spicy food. Mainly Mexican food…. like the elotes I couldn’t wait to get my hands on at Whole Foods only to find out they were sold out. Also margaritas. I’m always craving a margarita but that could have more to do with me just missing them than Baby Baukovic wanting them. I hope.
I thought hitting the second trimester was supposed to bring TONS of extra energy. Mommys? Isn’t that the case? Because if it’s true, there has to be something wrong with me. Sure, I have energy to repaint a master bedroom and paint a kitchen door, but do I have the energy to cook dinner? Oh hell no!
Excuse the lighting...there is no natural light in my kitchen
