Steaming Up The Kitchen…
One of the downsides to working a bazillon hours a week is that I never can make it to happy hour. So I’ve decided to host my own happy hour. Right now. At midnight on a Tuesday night, or is it Wednesday morning? Either way, happy hour at my place!
Posted in Happy Hour | 8 CommentsIf you would have told me five years ago that I would be eating…no, wait, CRAVING lamb, I would have laughed in your face. See, here’s a little secret about me. Until I was about 23, I didn’t eat vegetables. At all. Seriously. I was more of a pasta with extra cheese, pizza, chicken finger, and cheeseburger kind of girl. I’d eat a steak on occasion, but I preferred anything fast (ah, Taco Bell, how I miss you). I did go through a pseudo-vegetarian phase in high school but needless to say, lamb was not on the menu.

I realized I was a month shy of turning 25, not the end of the world, but scary still, and I have NO IDEA what to do with my life. I work in a cubicle, 9-5 (although my boss thinks I’m on call 24/7, seriously!) doing absolutely nothing with the degree my parents paid way too much for. This was certainly not where I saw my life going 5 years ago. If someone had asked me when I was 18, 19, 20 where I thought I would be in 5 years, I would have answered “Doing something I love, married, starting a family.” Yeah…about that….how about none of the above?
