Steaming Up The Kitchen
But we’re staying toasty and warm inside! In fact, being stuck inside has given me a little bit of inspiration and has made me FINALLY want to start cooking again. Who’d of thunk?Awesome Wife, Beef, Main Dish, Quick and Healthy, Spicy, Thai | 1 Comment

Traveling is always a little bit stressful, but throwing an infant (and a hubby who was working a half day) into the mix makes it full on nerve wracking! We just flew down to Atlanta to surprise JMB’s Grammie and Pawpaw, and while the actual flying part was a breeze, it took me about a week to figure out what to bring.Baby Baukovic, JMB, Travel | 1 Comment
I’ve totally turned into one of those women who ‘forget’ to eat breakfast/lunch/snacks. But I legitimately do forget. And now that I’m not following my ‘I’m-pregnant-so-I’ll-eat-whatever-I-feel-like’ diet anymore, grown up breakfast and lunch (versus peanut butter bumpers and PB&J) doesn’t sound as yummy.

Being SuperMommy hasn’t been quite as hard as I thought it would be. I’ve somehow managed to keep a (relatively) clean house, laundry has been getting done, JMB is staying clean, I’ve been working out a little bit, and I’ve still found time to put a yummy dinner on the table. Oh, and I’ve made it a point to shower daily.

Sometimes, you need to get a little creative. Sometimes, you need to think outside the box and just do it. Sometimes, you need to stop saying tomorrow. Okay, that last one was a little deep, especially for this, but it’s true!Appetizer, Baby Baukovic, Summer, Vegetarian | 3 Comments
I am officially in the home stretch, with just a few days to go until the official due date of Baby Jameson. If he’s anything like his daddy, he’ll be at least a few days late though! In the meantime, I’ve been cleaning, nesting, and organizing like a freak. Seriously, you should see our pantry. And linen closet. And regular closet. I’ve somehow managed to put everything in order based on color, type of clothing (work, polos, maternity, etc) and have maintained it for the last 2 months. Sure, I go in like someone with a serious case of OCD and rearrange the hubby’s shirts if he puts them away. But that’s normal….right?

Since my life is about to be flipped completely upside down…in a good way!…I thought it would be only fitting that the blog starts to get a little flipped around too! Sure, I’ll still have recipes on here and fun glimpses into my ever-so-exciting life. But I really want to include other stuff, like how to be a super stylin’ mama (or non-mama), home décor, my fabulous get-back-in-pre-baby-shape workouts and meals, and all sorts of other stuff. So, get ready for some fun!Baby Baukovic, Happy Hour, Mocktail, Not-Tail, Summer | Leave a comment
So it’s been approximately 100 years since the last time I sat down and decided I should actually blog about something. In my defense, I’ve been extremely busy doing things like grow a baby and get ready for the baby that I’m growing. There’s been so much going on between getting the nursery ready, having baby showers, and squeezing in a maternity photo shoot that I just don’t have the energy (even though some days I feel like I could run a marathon). Somehow, at the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is bust out the camera and write something witty. It’s been so much easier to relax on the couch and watch The Real Housewives of _______ or the Bachelorette.Dessert, Quick and Healthy, Vegetarian | Leave a comment
The last few 6 weekends have been pretty much eaten up by home renovations, work, and one too short trip to see some awesome friends in Nashville. The mornings when we wake up and immediately start to work on the never ending almost done fireplace, breakfast is usually toast and if we’re lucky, some quick eggs. Can I just say that as excited as I am to see the finished project, I am soooo over dust, drills, screws, drywall, mortar, tile, tile cutters, wet saws, more dust, mortar under my nails, dust (again), and the endless supply of tools we’ve now seemed to amass over the last 4 months.
