Steaming Up The Kitchen
Being SuperMommy hasn’t been quite as hard as I thought it would be. I’ve somehow managed to keep a (relatively) clean house, laundry has been getting done, JMB is staying clean, I’ve been working out a little bit, and I’ve still found time to put a yummy dinner on the table. Oh, and I’ve made it a point to shower daily.
Knock on wood, my little guy is a pretty awesome sleeper, but he has been known to wake up while I’m showering. Since I never know how much time I’m going to have once I get in the shower, I did some research and product testing before having JMB to help me find products that will keep me looking good without forcing me to spend more than 5 or 10 minutes in the bathroom post shower.
Devacurl has been a lifesaver this summer. Even if I hadn’t just had a baby, it’s been so hot and humid the thought of spending any time at all under a blow dryer makes me sweat. Fortunately, I have naturally wavy hair that is only enhanced by the Devacurl line. When I first tried it, I was a little apprehensive. I mean, shampoo that doesn’t suds? Does that even clean your hair???? The answer is absolutely! My hair had so much moisture and the curls were amazeballs after the first time I used it (I had received a sample of the line in my May Birchbox) that I immediately ordered the 3-step collection.
I’d imagine this would work even better if you had really curly hair, but it made my waves turn into gorgeous wavy curls that lasted almost all day. The no-poo and conditioner were awesome and combing my long hair out post shower was a breeze. Plus, the products all smell a little bit different (just in case you grab the wrong bottle in the shower) but the overall combination of smells was great. Devacurl is definitely something that will be staying in my shower!! You can find more information about it here! And if my amazing product review was enough for you, you can buy it at Ulta, Sephora, or on the Devacurl website.
Enjoy the extra time you’ll have doing something wonderful!!! In the top picture, I had just gotten out of the shower and was letting my hair air dry. Seriously, easiest. thing. ever! This entry was posted in Awesome Wife, Beauty, Hair, JMB. Bookmark the permalink. ← Watermelons…in my belly! Kicking It Old School →
