Dear Dad

The last week has been hands down, without a doubt, the most difficult week of my life. As I’m boarding a plane to Pittsburg to visit my dad in the hospital, I get a call from my brother that he passed away. The next hour after that is all a blur. But I made it to Pittsburg and was able to say my goodbye. This letter to my dad is almost everything else I couldn’t say. I know I’m lucky to have had him for the last 26 years, but God, do I msis him. I keep thinking it will get easier, but so far, it hasn’t…I’ve just gotten better at putting a big fake smile on my face. If you’re reading this, and you still have your dad, call him and tell him how much you love him…
